The game is about this girl who refuses to leave her house. All you can do is play a game called NASU (where you eat eggplants), go on the balcony, or go to sleep. You progress through the game by sleeping and going into the dream world to collect effects. Once you collect all 24 effects, the game is finished.
Some of the areas in Yume Nikki are albeit disturbing in some cases, but its fun nonetheless.

It's a word for "shut-ins." People who won't leave their house. Autistics will sometimes leave their house. A hikikkomori is pretty much a basement dweller, dependent on their parents wealth. In fact survery says that most of them will kill themselves after their parents die.
An autistic person wouldn't kill themselves if their parents died. Get your facts straight.
